Oklahoma City
OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA
Looking south on Robinson from Main street in down town Oklahoma City. The City with a population of over 500,000 is one of the nation's fastest growing cities.
The State Theatre shown in this photo stood in for Chicago's Biograph Theater during the filming of DILLINGER in 1973. This was the scene where Anna Sage AKA "The Woman in Red" (Cloris Leachman) led John Dillinger (Warren Oates) to his death at the hands of G-man Melvin Purvis. The scene was shot on a miserable, blustery night in the early spring. It was so cold that hot air cannons were aimed at the actors to keep their breathe from vaporizing in the freezing air.
